CHANGE MANAGEMENT TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP EXECUTIVE COACHING

Growing up in Homewood, in the City of Pittsburgh provided me with a sense of pride and grit associated with a blue collar mentality.  Notwithstanding, Pittsburgh has evolved from a Rust Belt to Brain Belt.  This transition has created a greater divide between the haves and have nots.

Growing up in a resilient community, combated by violence, drugs, and a heavy police presence was challenging. This experience provided me with insights that are important in supporting others in creating thriving verses surviving environents. 21st Century Leaders must be equipped with new skills that move beyond reacting to threats and shocks within their ecosystem.  Leaders must be capable of building the capacities of their team to meet new and emerging threats to their core work.

My mother instilled serving others as a family value. We always served and provided support the youth and families confronting challenges. Over the years, this served me well. However, as rhe region shifted, working harder didnt produce the same results. Teaching leaders how to strategically collaborate is critical in solving systemic issues today.

I have a rich and authentic experience at the neighborhood level. During the height of gangs in Pittsburgh, I participated in over fifty youth funerals associated with gang violence as a school teacher, football coach, and probation officer. My experience with judges, courts, and community stakeholders provides a unique lens on systems and their spheres of influence.

For the past fourty years, I’ve had deep experience in all components of leadership and organizational development. I transform leaders, address system challenges across sectors by listening, solving and doing.

Fred's experiences as a CEO, managing systems that deliver $28 million dollars of service annaully. As a planning commissioner, he supported the City of Pittsburgh to become the second US City to adopt the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals (UNSDG). The UNSDGs are composed of 17 global indicators. They are guidelines to bring the world into some level of responsibilities stewardship. Teaching Transformational Leadership is essential to cultivating next generation leadership.
